Big party in Castellabate, the beautiful town made even more famous by the film Welcome to the South. In the days from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 June 2023 the 12th edition of the Festa del Pescato di Paranza 2023 will be held. All Castellabate will be celebrating for a beautiful event that will bring many tourists and visitors to the village. A general rehearsal of the summer with all the flavors and scents of Cilento in the town that was the location of the film that saw the famous actors Bisio and Siani as protagonists, for a great party that sees the collaboration of the fishermen's associations of Castellabate and with the sponsorship of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, the Campania Region and the Municipality of Castellabate, A large and beautiful festival that this year will be held in the Villa Matarazzo in Santa Maria di Castellabate where there will be many food stands but also craft workshops, conferences on the sea and Marine Protected Areas, musical performances, Luna Park for children for three days not to be missed by the Cilento Blue Flag seashore. At the big party, lots of excellent and renowned "fish fry" which will be prepared in the now famous giant pan of 4 m in diameter and where over 25 quintals of fish will be prepared and fried at the moment, which will be served on the three evenings of the party. Fish that will be supplied exclusively by the local fishing fleet and that will all be very fresh and freshly caught. A big party that also serves to promote the beautiful Cilento area and also to encourage fishing, which is the main sector of the local economy. During the "Festa del Pescato di Paranza" on 2 and 3 June there will also be the final of the 15th edition of the "Campania Festival - National Song Contest", reserved for the best emerging talents divided into categories: Junior, Boys, Youth, Senior and songwriters with many guests and comedians of national importance.
