BOTTEGA ’500
New York – 72 Warren Street, Tribeca
13–16 November 2025 | 11: 00–20: 00
Tivarnella Art Consulting presents the new edition of Bottega ’500 in New York, a collective exhibition that brings together fourteen contemporary Italian artists in a dialogue that combines contemporary research with the cultural memory of the Italian Renaissance. The bottega is not a historical reference, but an operational model: a place where production, relationships and language are not separate phases but simultaneous parts of the same process. Where the work is created not only as an object, but as the result of exchange, proximity and the construction of meaning. Partners in the project are the New York association PolentoNY, the Giulian company Ven Julia and the Il Sestante Association. Curator Enea Chersicola: "After two editions that received an enthusiastic response from the American public, we are presenting a collection of previously unseen works, selected to question contemporary sensibilities, not to generate art entertainment. The artists in the exhibition employ different techniques and sensibilities, but converge on one point: restoring complexity to the present. Filippo Alzetta intertwines classical figures and everyday codes in an orderly chaos that reveals new narratives. Michela Bernasconi pushes photography towards abstraction, layering images until the surface vibrates. Nicoletta Cantore investigates the portrait as a relationship with the social context that generates it. Daria Cerqueni's canvases become emotional maps of light and shadow, born from literary references that are transformed into pure perception. Franco Chersicola brings the idea of exodus to the centre of the picture, as a political image of today; while Gaetano De Faveri composes a digital wunderkammer in which heterogeneous materials are reconfigured into psychological scenarios of strong impact. Emanuele Giannelli's sculpture reflects on the body as tension with reality; Francesca Maddaloni transposes the photographic image into painting, creating torn and recomposed human landscapes. Adriana Rigonat acts on popular memory, transforming it into icons suspended between intimacy and collective myth. Danilo Susi restores water as an optical field in which the figure is deconstructed by refractions; Roberto Taddei investigates drawing as the architecture of form, where light becomes event. Andrea Tomicich opens the image to the non-visible, from infrared to macro-fluids, translating phenomena beyond perception. Francesco Turco traverses irony and the macabre in a figurative imagery that touches the threshold of contemporary nihilism. And Emmanuela Zavattaro stages the body as absence and presence, with sharply contoured figures that live in constant relation to each other. Opening – Thursday, 13 November, 6 p. M.
The opening night will include a live performance by Dr. Fabrizio Pizzioli: a pictorial intervention on a piece of Italian haute couture clothing that will be progressively transformed into a work of art. Not just simple live painting, but a performative act in which the body, fabric and colour become a single surface of action. Private events (reservation required): Private events (reservation required): • 13 November at 6 p. M.
