On Sunday 10 April the 10th Historical Reenactment of the Bergamo San Vigilio Memorial Dino Sestini will be staged, a motorcycle rally organized by the ASI-federated Orobico Auto Moto D’Epoca Club of Bergamo. The Bergamo San Vigilio time trial has origins that date back to the early 1900s, more precisely 1923 and was the first motorcycle race in the province during which the centaurs of the time darted on a path of about 4 km, obviously dirt, that united the city to the highest hill in Bergamo. The first edition saw Dino Sestini triumph on a 1,000 cc Indian-Sestini. This year's re-enactment takes on particular importance as we celebrate the tenth and ninety-ninth year of the actual race. The roads are now all asphalted, the dust is a distant memory and the cables of the telephone lines have disappeared from the landscapes but the passion for engines has remained intact, which will also bring in 2022,after a forced break due to the pandemic, numerous enthusiasts to dust off their bikes of yesteryear.
