THE ANCIENT GAME OF “S-CIAPì”
On Easter Day, the S-Ciapì festival is held, which arises from an ancient local popular tradition. The protagonists of the festival are colored hard-boiled eggs with infusions of herbs or pees. The game consists of holding a hard-boiled egg in your hand while the opponent
hits it with another egg. The winner is whoever manages to keep their
own intact and to break that o the other: the “loser” must deliver the
egg to the “winner”. The game has kept intact the ancient and simple
favor o tradition and catapulted the participants into a by now past
context where people knew how to have fun with little and being able
to put an extra egg on their table could be very important. • TRADITIONAL GAME
