The collective mail art exhibition "Artistic money 2", includes more than one hundred small works by forty-five international artists, visible online on the website of the virtual gallery Artgallery MCL from December 20,2024 to January 26,2025
It returns for the second edition after more than a year from the first (it could become a fixed annual or biennial artistic project on this specific topic), to address a now historic theme that has seen several artists use imagination and fantasy for the creation of works albeit small in size and sent to the gallery via traditional mail (mail art), works in different techniques and styles but which have been able to translate the concept of how artists see or perceive money very well. Works that came from the creative minds of the participants in the project, banknotes painted, written, cut, assembled, photographed and others reinvented into futuristic paper money for a near future. The theme of money in art, addressed by the great masters of the past such as J. Beuys, A. Warhol, K. Haring, M. Duchamp and others is always an interesting topic also for the new generations of artists including Mari Roldàn, Banksy, Obey, D-Face, Chakib Benkara, Lucamaleonte, Savethewall, Pax Paloscia, Piotr Hanzelewiz, and also the subject of many exhibitions in galleries and institutions attracting more and more new collectors of this fascinating theme.
