On Friday 30 June 2023,the legendary Passo Stelvio road will be the protagonist with the new Stelvio Stilfserjoch Night, Light & Food event, the perfect combination of sport, sustainability and gastronomy organized by the Prato allo Stelvio Tourist Association. It will be the event with a capital E that will open the summer in South Tyrol, dedicated to all sportsmen and especially to lovers of good food. This is not a competition, but a full-fledged "green" event, open to any type of sportsman who wants to reach the summit, at almost 3000m, on foot or by any sustainable means, such as an electric bicycle. The enchanting journey will set off from Trafoi, where the participants will be able to venture, starting from 20 and until 23.30,in the midst of nature, appreciating the silence of the vast uncontaminated area of the Stelvio National Park. For a starred event you need an equally starred menu: 5 refreshment points will be set up along the evocative route, each with typical regional specialties practically at zero km. After dark, the road will be illuminated, rigorously with indirect LED light points so as not to disperse light outside the route, from the Berghotel Franzenshöhe to the top of the Stelvio Pass. It will be a unique experience, to be done alone or in company, under the starry sky and the natural light of the moon that will accompany the 'wild adventurers' to discover the rare and fragile beauty of a natural heritage that offers wonderful landscapes, where a large number of animal species. And if the weather isn't clement on Friday, everything will be postponed by one day. Nature and sport remain the perfect combination and Stelvio Stilfserjoch Night, Light & Food is ready to leave its mark.
