On 1 and 2 February, the Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina kicks off the February of cross-country skiers from all over Italy and the world: the iconic race on narrow skis will not fail to break the hearts of all its participants. Also for 2025,the cross-country event that inextricably links the two communities of Dobbiaco and Cortina has been confirmed as part of the ‘Challengers’ events of the international Ski Classics circuit, and will once again propose its consolidated format: on Saturday 1 February, classic technique enthusiasts will open the Dobbiaco-Cortina race with the 42 km TC, while on Sunday 2 February, free technique enthusiasts will be able to let off steam along the 35 km course. For both routes, the start is at the Dobbiaco military airport, from where the race ‘takes off’ in the direction of the finish line in Fiames - Cortina d'Ampezzo at the foot of the Pomagagnon, the iconic mountain group of the Ampezzo Dolomites. To say the least, the race passages between the picturesque lakes of Landro and Dobbiaco, the incomparable view of the Tre Cime and the Gran Premio della Montagna of the Passo Cimabanche (1529 m) are iconic. A new page of history in the great book of one of the longest-running granfondo events on the international scene is ready to be written at the 48th edition of the Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina. The Organising Committee led by president Herbert Santer and vice-president Igor Gombač, is relentlessly proceeding with the preparation work for the new edition, which starts from afar in order to arrive ready for the winter and enchant in the presence of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
