Under the watchful gaze of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run is now in its 28th edition. In a picture-postcard landscape, crowned by the beautiful profile of the Cima Grande, Cima Ovest and Cima Piccola, the ALV Sextner Dolomiten will once again present one of South Tyrol's most evocative races on Saturday 13 September, this year in tandem with another very picturesque race, the Austrian Grossglockner Mountain Run, which will enliven Austria's highest mountain on Sunday 6 July: those who decide to register for both competitions will be able to take part in a draw with rich prizes to be won. The event is a must for mountain running enthusiasts, who flock from all over Europe every year and who this year have once again secured their bibs several months in advance. Hundreds of professional and amateur runners and trail runners from 12 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland) have already registered, and will once again attempt to conquer the mountains. The crowning glory of the Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run will be the “miniature” race on Sunday, 14 September. Hundreds of young people, from the youngest to the junior categories, will be invited to familiarise themselves with a competition that, in terms of history and itinerary, has few equals in the running world.
