The ‘beautiful season’ for ski lovers is fast approaching, and the Madonna di Campiglio Pinzolo ski area in the Brenta Dolomites is preparing to welcome snow aficionados to its numerous, high-quality facilities. For the third consecutive year, Pinzolo is preparing to welcome the elite of ‘free heel skiing’ with two Telemark World Cup events on the weekend of 19 and 20 December, the second stage of the top circuit calendar, on the Cioca 1 and Cioca 2 slopes with two spectacular sprint races. Telemark skiing, a discipline that is gaining popularity and for which the Alta Val Rendena resort is becoming an international symbol, is a skiing technique that originated in Norway, in which athletes, attached to their skis only at the forefoot, are required to perform fluid movements combined with agility and speed, with performances that require technique, balance and physical strength, no mean feat! The two-day programme is packed with competitions and entertainment. On Friday 19 and Saturday 20,the first run will start at 10 a. M. and the second at 12 noon. It is important to note that admission to the event is free for the public. The parterre is located a few metres from the Tulot cable car arrival point and can be reached on foot or on skis. Along with the captivating backdrop of the Brenta Dolomites, the sporting event itself will be accompanied by many side events dedicated to the public and enthusiasts, especially food and wine moments of the “Telemark & Food experience” at high altitude, with a real culinary show featuring Slow Food products, Trentino Quality, Zero Km and Trentodoc wines.
