Prepare to be captivated by the story of tormented love told in an opera, divided into three acts, composed by Verdi to a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, which is based on the famous novel La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas (son). A passionate drama that explores the themes of love, sacrifice and social redemption. The protagonist, Violetta, played by Aleksandra Buczek, is an independent, worldly-loving courtesan who, through meeting and getting to know Alfredo, played by Emil Alekperov, is swept away by her feelings of love for the latter, abandoning her worldly lifestyle and moving with him to the countryside outside Paris. But Violetta, having contracted consumption even before their relationship, and Alfredo's father having asked her to end their liaison, flees from the unwitting Alfredo: by the time he finds out, after several events, , of the real reasons for the estrangement, it is too late and the beloved Violetta dies in his arms. To embellish the performance, in addition to the beautiful voices of the soloists, an excellent corps de ballet, chorus and chamber orchestra conducted by renowned violinist Elvin Dhimitri, all framed by the solemn atmosphere of St. Paul's Church, just a few steps from Republic Square, where neo-Gothic architecture meets colorful mosaics echoing the Byzantine style.
