ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR - 18th EDITION
Locality: Rome | Region: Lazio
from: 8 July 2026 to: 19 July 2026
Genre: Art

ITSLIQUID Group is proud to announce the 18th edition of ROME INTERNATIONAL ART
FAIR 2026,taking place from July 08 to July 19,2026,at ITSLIQUID Art Space - Rome, located in the historic district of Trastevere. Hosted in a remarkable 15th-century palace, the exhibition brings together contemporary artistic languages from around the world, creating a dynamic platform where artistic research encounters the timeless cultural
heritage of the Eternal City. Exploring the relationship between body and space, ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR
2026 reflects on the ongoing hybridization between identities and cultural, physical, social, and urban contexts in contemporary society. Through its two curatorial sections, MIXING
IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES, the exhibition invites visitors to investigate
perception, memory, transformation, and the evolving interaction between individuals and
the environments they inhabit. MIXING IDENTITIES analyses the hidden dimensions of identity through an immersive
journey into the labyrinths of consciousness. At the same time, FUTURE LANDSCAPES
explores the concept of boundaries - between body, mind, and spirit; between individuals
and the city; and between space and ground - transforming everyday surfaces into fluid
territories of open and evolving ideas. Within this framework, the selected artists offer
unique perspectives on contemporary existence through deeply personal visual narratives. Presented as a compelling solo exhibition, Giovanni Tozzetti’s “LONG WALK FROM
AUSTRALIA TO ROMA - E ‘ndo so nato, vissuto, cresciuto e pasciuto” masterfully opens a
vibrant dialogue between individual narrative and collective experience. The project
unfolds as a deeply personal yet universally resonant journey, bridging vast geographical
distances with intimate roots to explore how private memories intersect with shared
cultural identities. Through this fluid interaction, the exhibition invites the audience to
reflect on the universal themes of migration, home, and the continuous evolution of self. Rooted in a practice that explores the relationship between painting and photography, Tozzetti transforms observed reality into a refined painterly language, preserving the
immediacy of the original image while emphasizing its symbolic and communicative power. Gestures, symbols, and shared spaces become communication vehicles, revealing how
personal narratives are continuously negotiated within broader cultural and urban contexts. The exhibition moves into the fluid visual territory of Golshad Hessami's “Suspended
Ground”, which opens this dialogue through a dynamic composition where landscape and
emotion merge into a fluid visual territory. Layers of gestural marks and shifting forms
create a sense of instability and transformation, reflecting the continuous negotiation
between inner experience and external reality. The work evokes a suspended condition
between memory and presence, embodying both the psychological complexity of identity
and the mutable nature of contemporary space. This exploration of transformation
continues in Vakim Pirdon's “The Tears of Oblivion Imbued with Eternity”. Through a richly
textured and intricate visual language, the artist constructs a dreamlike environment where
fragments of memory, symbolism, and organic forms intertwine. The work investigates the
persistence of emotional traces across time, suggesting identity as a constantly evolving
archive shaped by remembrance, loss, and renewal. Karolina Sávolt's “Touch” introduces a more relational perspective, where figures, natural
elements, and vibrant structures coexist within a multilayered composition. The artwork
reflects on human connection as a fundamental force in the construction of identity, emphasizing the ways personal experience is continuously shaped through interaction with
others and with the surrounding environment. The complex spatial arrangement echoes
the exhibition's interest in the intersections between body, perception, and space. Jeff
Corwin's “Guns in America #54” shifts the focus toward the symbolic construction of
contemporary landscapes. The solitary birdcage, suspended within an atmospheric
environment, becomes a powerful metaphor for vulnerability, confinement, and social
tension. Transforming an ordinary object into a psychological and political space, the work
invites reflection on the invisible structures that influence individual freedom and collective
experience in contemporary society. Completing this visual journey, Sergi Llanas Paez's “Teresa in May” immerses viewers in
an organic landscape where matter and perception dissolve into a continuous flow of
movement and texture. Through expressive brushwork and atmospheric depth, the artist
transforms the natural environment into an emotional and sensory experience, proposing a
landscape that exists simultaneously as physical reality and inner reflection. The work
embodies the exhibition's investigation of fluid boundaries, where memory, nature, and
consciousness converge. Together, these artists offer interconnected perspectives on
identity, memory, and spatial experience, revealing how contemporary realities emerge
through constant processes of transformation and interaction. Moving between figuration
and abstraction, introspection and expansion, their works create a compelling dialogue
between the inner dimensions of human consciousness and the evolving landscapes of
the contemporary world. The exhibition also features a selection of video artists
